About Angela Bryant

Angela Bryant has served as an adjunct professor, an independent curator and guest lecturer at multiple institutions. As a practicing artist, Angela is the recipient of several awards and honors including the Presidential Scholarship Award, the Archibald Motley Award for Ragdale Artist Colony, and the Non-Representational Award for the 36th Annual Beverly Art Center Competition. Angela holds an MFA in painting and drawing from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has exhibited work in multiple locations including The Merchandise Mart and The Korean Cultural Center.

 

In 2009, Angela Bryant founded Abryant Gallery, an art consultating service and rotating contemporary art gallery for young/new and emerging artists.  She has since curated several exhibitions, participated as both a juror and panelist, and exhibited over 100 artists. In addition to operating Abryant Gallery, Angela is the Director of Exhibitions for O’Connor Art Gallery at Dominican University where her programming highlights the work of both emerging and established artists in two-person and group exhibitions. She is also the recent co-founder of MOUNT, a curatorial residency at Design Cloud.
